Koora Van Hire was founded in 2020 in a small country town called Koorawatha, which is situated between Young and Cowra in the NSW Central West region. This is where the name "Koora" comes from because the town is colloquially named this by locals.

Koora Van Hire was created by a partner team, Andrew and Savannah, after finding that it was really hard to find any classic caravans available for hire. Having owned a Viscount Royal for a while and taken it on quite a few trips, it became apparent that the market was awash with new age caravans, all similar in style and colour, but nothing that really made you look and think "wow that is a nice unique caravan!". After getting several comments from people wherever we took the van, about how nice it was to see something different for a change, particularly a classic van in such good condition, combined with the fact that it is truly nice to stay in a caravan with such character and quality, we decided that we wanted to share the experience with others.

After quitting our day jobs, we moved back to our property in Brooklyn NSW, where we got to work setting up the business.
